DVD Burning Glossary horizontal
resolution Describes
the greatest number of vertical black and white lines that can be seen
distinctly by the human eye using a given video system. DVD is understood
to provide more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution, while VHS is limited to
approximately 240 lines of horizontal resolution. The greater the
horizontal resolution, the more detail can be seen in the video. |
